Clone Windows 7 to another PC

Hi,
I've tried to do this by creating a system image and writing it to a DVD. The problem is The C Drive is ridiculously large and would take about a gazillion DVDs. All I really need is the D partition which contains the operating system. But I can't find a way to do D without C. Any ideas? Is there another way to do this?
